The most popular types of cine film were produced in two versions, 8mm (left) and Super8 (right). It can be tricky to tell the difference! Whilst both options provided similar results, Super8 eventually became the go-to film for family/home movies as a result of its easy-to-use design.

Luckily, there is no need to rummage through your reels, figuring out which is which, we can do that for you!

Our studio carries out all digitisation in-house and will never ship your cine film to any other company or facility.

35mm slides - little but mighty, just like these smiles!

Despite their small size, 35mm slides are able to retain an excellent amount of quality after digital conversion. Not only does the process of digital conversion allow for easy access, but the images will also be visible at a much larger scale.

There is no minimum order quantity when you bring your slides to us - whether you have 1 or 10,000, we're on hand to help preserve them.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As the world mourns the loss of our much respected and dearly beloved Monarch, all of us at the V&A also extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family.

Mould and mildew - our worst enemy!

Did you know that cine film, photos and tapes which are stored in an attic or garage, are much more susceptible to damage?

Unregulated temperatures and increased humidity are both contributing factors that make these spaces incredibly hostile.
We recommend moving any old media to a main part of the house, tucked away into a lidded box and placed either in a wardrobe, cabinet or under the bed.

*Better yet, by digitally converting these items with us, they will also be protected from other types of deterioration - such as dust, light and accidental fire/flooding too.
