The Tea Station

The Tea Station The Tea Station is a pilot project being run by Shademakers UK Carnival Club, in the grounds of our The project is funded by a Big Lottery Awards for All grant.

The Tea Station is a pilot project being run by Shademakers UK Carnival Club, in the grounds of our workshop, Castleworks, in Wroxall. The Tea Station includes a converted caravan with tea making facilities, all weather seating, board games, books, information board. The surrounding outdoor area has tables and chairs, raised beds and planters, composter and space for a planned pizza oven. Visitors

will be encouraged to make their own tea and to leave a donation. The Tea Station is open to walkers and cyclists who want to stop for refreshment and we want to encourage local people to use the space as a meeting place and a space to share information. We want to encourage people to think about and discuss the environment, recycling and sustainability issues ... as well as having a sociable and relaxing time. This is a pilot project and we welcome ideas and feedback about what we are doing and what people would like to see here. The space, both indoors and outdoors will be available for hire. We would particularly welcome activities that are of benefit to the community.
