We're quietly beavering away, and I've finished 2 re-purposed clock cupboards. The first is a 19thC/20thC statement piece with a glass panelled door and papered back panel. The second is a classical style clock case now benefitting from an open front, and painted and papered inside. Enjoy this lovely sunshine as we enjoy the coolness of our shop.

All I've done to this is line the cupboard and drawers, change the drawer handles, and give it a clean and wax. Denise is already trying to find a home for it, so it might not be in the shop that long. Enjoy the sun....

This is Titch, he's got a safe place to play while looking out over everyone. Amazing what you can do with an old Napoleon style clock shell and Denise's crafting skills. And it's a shelf, 10/10 on the 'Cute' scale.
Meanwhile, I gave this 1936 Lloyd Loom chair a revival for the 21st C. Busy week. Enjoy the sun....

Another 'proper' antique in the shape of a 3 section Globe Wernicke bookcase. These were the Flatpacks of their day allowing you to create any size from 1 section to as many as you wanted.
Meanwhile, Denise has been keeping her hand in with various items, and has just started on a collaboration with me that should score well on both the 'Cute' scale and the 'That's different' scale. I'm off to mull over my next project, decisions, decisions.

The Perfectly Imperfect Occasional Table/ Cupboard has been made with reclaimed wood and fittings. The base was a dressing stool base with sides, back and door coming from a bespoke pine kitchen that I rescued. The Antique Gold colour sets it off nicely.
The 2 over 2 Edwardian chest of drawers had already been stripped when we got it, so a quick clean and many coats of wax are the order of the day.
Finally, I have this 1967 double seater school desk that I'm not sure what I'll do with. It's got a nice flat top and great patina, so I won't be painting the top, maybe raise it to table height.
I've got loads of stuff in the pipeline which is got to be done one way or another....

Denise has been beavering quietly away creating beautiful things like she does. You'll have to pop in the shop and check them out.
Meanwhile, I decided to tick another upcycle off my bucket list, so Singer sewing machine bookends were created. They look simple, but they're not, and there would be no fun if they were easy. Another one saved from the scrap bin, and one more machine to find a use for.
We open Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10 'til 4 or a phone call. Enjoy the sunshine....

At last, I've finished the masses of trade work that I started in January which gave me the opportunity to work on these gorgeous Spiral Library Steps. Apart from a sympathetic clean and wax, the only change has been the addition of the brass finial that I made. I think it's 1980s and made from oak. You don't see these very often at all, and they are stunning. I expect the 'Trade' to be very interested so you'll have to be quick if you're interested. Have a good week.....

This is a Pine Box of Vintage to Antique age, it's hard to tell as it's been dipped. I've cleaned and waxed it, so it's already for you to fill up, and you could even use it as a coffee table. It's a fair size and I reckon you could fit a small body in it.... just saying. We reopen Thursday 5th February if you want to try it out, bodies not supplied.
