Rather sad to wave goodbye to this old boy today.

Pleased it will be getting the use it deserves but I can’t deny, I was very tempted to keep hold of him once we got the chimes working!

Calling all weavers!

Reluctantly for sale we have this beautiful 16 shaft Harris Loom, including a reed, raddle and more accessories:

- 1 x 11 meter Ashford Warping frame (brand new, unused, still in box)

- Bobbin winder (brand new, unused, still in box)

-1 x Ashford stainless steel reed: 40cm:12dpi

- A few shuttles and a large collection of various yarns

All of this is either new or in great working condition. We would ideally be looking to sell it all together for £1,250. Or items can be split if preferred.

Reluctantly for sale is this beautiful distressed green wooden sideboard.

Originally dark wood, this large unit has been painted a shade of green that appears even bolder and brighter in person than it does in these photographs.

I’ve fallen slightly in love with it, but it’s too big to stay here with us!

Two large cupboards and two large drawers, one of which is compartmentalised with a worn green felt lining.

This is not a new piece, so expect signs of wear and tear, but we think that adds to its beautiful charm and character.

Be warned, she’s a reasonably big ol’ unit:

Time for something a little different…

This antique Buttstädt 120 bass accordion is, in my opinion, a thing of absolute beauty!

Whilst I am no musician, let alone accordionist, it does appear to function correctly and, when played, does create some fantastic sounds.

Overall in relatively attractive condition for its age, with the most notable defect being it’s missing key.

A fun renovation project for anyone who knows their way around an accordion better than we do, or perhaps simply a unique, conversation starting display piece.

A pair of decorative plaster corbels.

Corbels are used as architectural supports in grandiose homes and buildings as decorative, load-bearing features to support a superincumbent weight.

Put simply - they’re nice looking brackets.

This ornate pair, salvaged from a local Victorian-era home, could be fixed to a wall to support a feature shelf, or perhaps fitted to a section of ceiling. They might even make an elaborate pair of bookends!

Our very first item is now up for sale! With 20% of the proceeds going to Alzheimer’s Society, in honour of all those grandfathers affected by dementia.

We know little about this beautiful grandfather clock, other than that it is in working condition. It is also, sadly, not a true antique. So for those wanting a classical statement piece on a modest budget, this may well be of interest.

The clock has a dark stained oak body, with a beautiful ornate clock face. There are some minor marks to the body as can be best seen in the penultimate photo. This clock will need to be set up once placed in its new home.

All weights are present, as is the key. The pendulum swings freely and the glass door is in one piece with no cracks.

Viewings welcome. Collection from Romsey or local delivery can be arranged for a fee.

After a slight hiatus, this antique Italian corner unit is finally ready for finishing wax!

Really love the matte finish, almost seems a shame to wax over it, but if this beauty is to stand the test of time for another hundred years it’s for the best!

There’s nothing worse than a drawer that sticks. Solution? Some new red felt runners!

I’m pleased to report this drawer now slides smoother than DJ Casper.

🛠WORK IN PROGRESS 🛠

After a busy couple of weeks it’s been fun to spend a Sunday making some progress with this antique Italian corner display cabinet.

After taking the doors off and repairing the drawer, it’s taken 4 coats of Natural Charcoal chalk paint to achieve a neat, deep finish.

For anyone who’s read this far, shall we retain the original dark wood interior or paint it too?
