Welcome to Resto-Worx owned by Russell & Nikki Weightman, a small family business,based in Cornwall.We specialise in antiques ,retro & vintage furniture and household parathenalia. We also offer a free sourcing service,if there is a particular item, your heart desires we will endeavour to find it. A lot of the furniture we supply can be upcycled to the clients personal requirements for that truly

individual bespoke piece. We regularly go on buying trips to Europe especially France enabling us to source pieces that are a little bit different in style and design to those normally available. We supply our refurbished 1950s/60s kitchen cupboards to Tala cookware for window displays and also several bespoke kitchen companies within the UK. We can deliver items UK wide,we have also sent items to mainland Europe.

What an Epic Trip💪

As we finish week 5, in a very happy place!

We love being in our tents - we all sleep better and being out in the fresh air we are able to relax, let the kids run free and enjoy the moment.

So in 35 days we have cycled 534 tracked miles - prob more like 550 although only 490 of the actual route 🤔🤔

We have stayed in

- campsites
- friends houses thank you Knights & Gerrishes
- a pub shed
- a Sheperds hut thank you Ryan & Amy
- Premier Inns
- an orchard
- a playing field
- air Bnb
- pub beer garden
- a random strangers house courtesy of Warmshowers.org
- a yurt thank you Matt & crew
- a pub hotel
- camped in a strangers paddock - thank you Suzy & fish
- Youth Hostel (thanks for the reminder)

We have cooked

- pizza (lots)
- burgers
- pasta
- chicken and potato broth
- bag meals
- pot noodles
- a roast
- hot dogs

I think we have all laughed, cried, moaned and wondered why we are doing this!!

One thing we have all been shocked by is peoples kindness and generosity - to everyone who has helped, supported, chatted, offered us anything from a cuppa to food, shared our story, donated every little thing just lifts us and pushes us forward!!! And the assistance we get helps us save a few £££ on the cost of the trip as it’s fully self funded.

Doing this as a family is creating a lifetime of memories for us all, as far as we can see online this is the first time children as young as Liam (11) & Sophia (9) will have completed Lands End to John O Groats as a family unsupported!

The kids astound us each day - good & sometimes not so good - but they are doing amazingly! Sometimes better than Ben & I, as we can be grumpy - but that’s life!!!

Tommorow we continue our journey north as we hit our largest city - Manchester and one thing that’s certain we have no plans to give up until we hit that sign at John O Groats whether it be 1200 or 1400 miles 🤣

We hope that you all continue to follow and share our journey, the more we share the more chance we have of reaching our fundraising goal of £4000 to share equally between our 4 charities - Veterans' Foundation Marie Curie UK Cornwall Hospice Care & Penhaligons Friends - currently we are at £1868 so much more than we could have ever expected to raise!!

FOR SALE £385

A stunning and unusual example of a Early Victorian school cupboard,with sliding doors.
In stripped pine with panelled doors and brass fingerpulls.

This has undergone a sympathetic restoration,in our workshops.
It had been covered in dark polyurethane varnish this has been removed by hand,sanded and waxed.

Although we think it started life as something else prior.
Looks like it originally had a pull handle fixed and still has it's original castors, which run freely.

Making it look quite industrial in origin or possibly a bakers cabinet,as it has also a unusual open shelf at the bottom.

So a very interesting piece,has had quite a history we would think.

The shelves internally have cut out grooves to form pigeon holes with numbers on,but there are earlier cutouts which have been filled with timber fillets.

All in all,a very spacious, sturdy, practical and characterful piece,that would grace any home.In a very useable size.

Width 1.37m,Height 1.61 cm,Depth 41cm

We've had an absolute ball !

Over 1400 50s/60s larders,sink units wall cupboards,tables restored,amongst over things.

It's been great,we have been lucky enough to have a job that has given us real satisfaction.

Restoring items we have a real passion for,and sharing that passion with our wonderful customers.

But we are there in heart 🥰🥰

Leanda Daddow Ben Daddow , (both ex Royal Navy) and the kids Liam (11) & Sophia (9) who are today setting out on a Epic journey.

They are cycling from Lands End to John o Groats,that's over 1200 miles😱😱
Without support,nothing but a small trailer,minimal belongings,tents,a camping stove and the clothes on their backs.

Why you ask🤔🤔
They have had a pretty rough ride over the last few years as a family,life has thrown them a lot of curved balls.

So they are riding to raise funds,raise awareness and support for the local charities,that have helped them through these difficult times 🥰

Now we all know times are tough,so if you can't donate,just try sharing the love 💕 it all helps 👍
Like,Share, and follow their adventure.

Even offer them a back garden or field to pitch in,a hot shower,a day off for the kids and parents,a dinner not consisting of beans😂

Picked up these today,unusual little nest of tables.
After a bit of research,thought to be Scandinavian made for the UK market.

Oak nest of tables,resin tops inset with bentwood ply in a spiral design,very stylish,and useful too.

Bit of work to do on them,wobbly legs😂

Before and after😍

Well,what do you all think🤔🤔

We have now carried out a sympathetic restoration on the Easiwork 'Maisonette' larder.
At some point someone had revarnished it with a very dark varnish,this has all been removed by hand, a real labour of love.

Lots of beautiful original features including detachable flour funnel and sieve,old literature to top doors,makes interesting reading,tin lined drawers,small vintage jars,even has a built in ironing board, absolutely ingenious.

(Other items are not included)

But what a difference 😁
It's dimensions are
L 1.61m,H 1.83m,D 57cm.

Ready for sale at £935,inclusive of UK delivery to most areas.

It's another one I would definitely keep,but there's simply no room left,we need a bigger house,maybe a museum may suit 😂

Bought this yesterday at our local charity shop.
Has to be one of our favourite finds.

Large metal 3d framework, the mackerel are almost jumping off the wall,beautiful lifelike luminescent colours too.Looks so good now it's up😍
