Hatcher Joinery We are a manufacturer of bespoke, custom cabinet makers, staircases, windows, doors, kitchens, wardrobes,conservatories and office fit-outs.

Hatcher Joinery has been established as a joinery company since 1980. Hatcher Joinery is a partnership of two brothers, a time served joiner and a qualified construction surveyor. Over the years we have gained a vast experience of projects large and small in all disciplines of joinery and construction. We pride ourselves on employing first class tradesmen with the emphasis on training apprentices

who will provide a continuance of our business for many years to come. We have well equipped workshops incorporating up to date machinery enabling us to carry out the most complex of projects. We have a machine shop, assembly shop, finishing room and separate storage facilities. We undertake work throughout the UK, specialising in the home counties with a high profile client base and can arrange references upon request.

We have just completed the installation of a large set of European Oak entrance gates with a pedestrian gate, the gates are powered and remote controlled. The posts holding the gates are 200mm square, round top posts secured a meter deep in the ground held in place with over a cubic meter of concrete each. The nearest power supply was the green house. We used Accoya posts and Tricoya rails to carry the wire armoured cables to the gates. We were also asked to replace the original deer gate to the vegetable garden, this was fabricated using Accoya timber. The companies that supplied the materials for this project are Chilworth Timber Company, Thame, Hewins Oak, Somerset, The Electric Gate Shop, powered gate kit. Bubear and Jones, bespoke hinges. The contractors who worked with us were GRG Groundwork’s (Grant is a wizard with a digger) and G.R.Oakden Electrical, Lee doing his usual immaculate installation.

DOOR AND FRAME REPLACEMENT
We recently completed the door and frame replacement to an Edwardian house in Reigate.
The door and frame were factory spray finished in our workshop using the Zinzer paint system as recommended by us.

We also made an Oak door to replace an existing door for a house in Reigate. The door is finished with Osmo U.V. resistant oil

Here is one we did thirty years ago. The owner put in a full width fish pond after we built but forgot that he was supposed to refresh the wood preserve/stain every three years. As a consequence of being very damp and lack of maintenance the bottom panels had started to rot away. We replaced the existing insulated hardwood panels on both sides and installed a new door frame, result- as good as new,😊 well in truth a bit like me and Rob, handsome but with a few wrinkles.

This is our spindle moulder corner where we fabricate new timber mouldings to match existing. The large round discs are the blocks that carry the knives. The rows above the door are the various knife patterns that we have ground over the years. If you need a new skirting, architrave or cornice to match an existing pattern we can do this for you. If you are really lucky one of our existing knives will match your pattern, this may save you money.

Our customer has a beautiful cottage in Banstead, unfortunately the existing windows were very delapidated, the brief was to provide high performance Oak windows and a set of bifold doors which would bring the large back room into the garden. The garden is one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever been in and the new doors opened up a whole new vista for our customer.
