New Project Incoming! ⚒🗄🆕

Between the day job, the evening job, the house, the fam and the workshop plus navigating this bloody weather - socials have deffo taken a hit!

But here’s my current project for anyone who gives a crap about the stuff I make!

NEW YEAR, SAME JOB..

Today I’m celebrating 2 years at the ROH! Actually stayed put in one place for a whole 24 months (it still counts if 7 months of that was Furlough right?)

In other news...
Made some progress on the unit!

Reclaimed Timber top now in place and cleaned up!
Vintage Locker did take a bit of a battering with the grinder but she’s all settled in her new home now and ready for refurbishment.
Faux wall in place ready for the TV mount and awaiting a reclaimed timber shelf (the Mrs changed her mind in this one last minute 🙄)

PERFECT FIT 📐

Next project is underway! Creating a storage wall and TV surround for the lounge. I enjoy the kind of tidying when you can chuck it in and shut the door so hoping this works for me... sure the wife will let me know if it doesn’t!

LONG TIME NO SEE 👀

It’s been a while!! The Workshop has been a bit neglected the past month or so... with going back to my full time job after furlough and finally buying our own home I’m struggling to find much spare time for the other fun stuff in my life (like wood).

Anyway, I’ve been keeping my hands dirty tiling a house, building custom furniture and keeping up with the wife’s ever changing house plans 🙄 you can follow all the progress over at if you’re as sad as me and like looking at other peoples houses and s**t!

BACK TO THE GRINDer ⚒

Day job starts again today! Glad to be back in this building and fully equipped with my new mask from He’s Such a Stitch 😷

Now to see if I can remember how to do my job after all this time! 😉

Little tidy up on this reclaimed pine cupboard! Finished with a sage green and back to its original light pine top and handles. Bare timber has been finished with a light wax to leave a slight sheen.

LEAN’IN TOWARDS A NEW LAMP? 💡

Made this requested Leaning Lamp for a special gift a while back using a lovely piece of reclaimed oak and a long filament bulb.

I enjoy the modem design with the rustic timber and it makes for a pretty cool profile shot!
