It’s been a busy week in the workshop — our Baroque Armchairs painted in black are now heading into upholstery. These frames are hand‑made from solid mahogany, and we can’t wait to show you the finished pieces soon.

Originally designed in 16th-century France for doormen (or porters) to sit in while keeping watch over grand entrances, these high-backed, enclosed chairs were made to shield from drafts and keep warm.

It’s been a super busy couple of weeks here at The Antique Street. We’ve had a full container delivery, sent out 67 pieces of furniture, and even squeezed in a trip to CDW in London.
