I love it when a client trusts me to transform their piece into something they couldn’t imagine.

The brief: Ombre with gold trim highlights
The result: Harlequin

Painted in F&B Paean Black and Oxford Stone, this piece was just begging for some whimsical magic. In danger of over doing it I decided to keep the trim simply painted to show off the carvings on the legs and of course all the harlequin, inside and out!

I kept the client involved every step of the way which meant no surprises of course, and they absolutely loved the end result.

How fab are these! 😍. Created by the very talented Julie Cats - capturing every detail right down to the gold leaf in my hand - so clever!

She also went a step further and created a set for SplatLab.co.uk with my business partner Nathan from Asuek Artwork - look at how she’s replicated his mask!! Phenomenal!

Lastly one of me and hubby with his favourite jumper on (well, it’s my favourite jumper on him lol)❤️

These would make fantastic gifts and I think she should be taking commissions - what do you guys think?

She may be small, but boy does she command the room now.
Part of my Source, Design and Refine service, my client had seen a previous piece I’d created in this design and completely fell in love with it. The challenge was finding the right piece to fit the client’s space and style … and as always, that takes patience (also a challenge for me 😂).

Transformation began, giving it a complete style change from mid-century Scandi to a Japanese-inspired aesthetic, and its journey now begins a new chapter in Brighton 💙 (thank you Linda StyledSpaces 🙏).
Another piece of functional art - another piece recycled ♻️💚🙌
