What’s this, you say ! 2 posts on the same day 😳
I thought I’d give you a wee bit info.
If any of you are heading to the caravan / motorhome and holiday home show in Glasgow over the weekend or have been already. I think it would be worth having a chat if you buy a Caravan or Motorhome, regarding servicing. We get customers who are unaware of their responsibility regarding warranty upkeep and the possibility of the unit having to go back to dealer you purchased from to have it dealt with. I realise that’s not the end of the world but it can be real hassle for you.
It would be the longest post in the history of social media if I went in to detail, but please feel free to get in touch if you would like me to elaborate or just have a chat about it.

Good morning
Another lovely weekend weather wise, NOT !!
Just a message to say the works are recommencing on the road up to the workshop and beyond, from Monday.
On Monday some large machinery is expected to arrive so please don’t attempt to come up that day “for a visit” 😉
The works will be starting at the top and working down past us to the bottom of the hill. I will let anyone know who is due to come in over the next while if it is okay access wise on the day you are due. I’ll give as much notice as possible if we have to change your drop off day, hopefully not 👍

Currently in to May for bookings so don’t delay if you want to get in the diary 👍

Nasty wee spell of weather we’re having, soon be sprouting webs on our feet 🦆

I have just come on to remind you or possibly make you aware of the need to register your Caravan if you intend to travel to Europe with it. There is legislation that says you must register any trailer over 750kg with the Government Trailer Registration Scheme for use outside the UK. Details can be found on GOV.UK or on the NCC website where you will be able to see all the information
We don’t have the info, I have just had a couple of enquiries recently about it so thought you may need a heads up, if you haven’t already read about it in the clubs magazines.
I have used an online image to give you an idea of the extra “plate” you will be required to display with this regulation It will be extra to your original No plate, I have just blanked it out on the image as it’s not my own. Also a UK sticker is required.
Please use the information on line to get up to speed ( don’t call us 😉) we are just reading what you will read 🤪

Good morning
Preparation work has begun this morning on the road up to the workshop and beyond.
Please don’t just “take a drive up” as you may not get up to us. I will be in regular contact with anyone due in from Friday onwards as we may need to change the drop off or collection day 🥴
Hopefully not to much inconvenience, but worth it further down the line.

Happy Sunday!
Well what can we say...

Our total is now sitting at £4090.00, plus with gift aid its just short of 5K.
We are totally gobsmacked at generosity. When I started the just giving page I did not think for a minute we would raise such an amount. Thank you all so much!
Kerry is doing great and will be back to work tomorrow (light duties initially).

A huge Thank you to Peter Orr and The Bridge Inn . We received a further £150.00 to add to the pot from their raffle.

Every year, I strive to raise funds for a local charity, but this year holds a deeper significance for me.

Five weeks ago Kerry was diagnosed with a significant Meningioma Brain Tumour after a dedicated doctor investigated the cause of his ongoing left side weakness. After enduring challenges throughout the year and receiving treatment for disc issues, it became clear that something was seriously amiss. 4 weeks ago Kerry underwent surgery to remove the tumour, and I am grateful to share that the procedure went well. Kerry is now recovering at home ♡

Hi everyone
As we come to the end of another year, we would like to say a huge thank you for the continued support every year. From me personally, I would like to thank everyone who sent their best wishes for my recent health issue, I am recovering well and expect to be back at the start of the year.

As the bin motor gets washed down for its Christmas break we have emailed out all the 2026 garden waste collection information. We have had quite a few bounce backs where I have probably typed the email address in wrongly so if you haven’t received an email and would like your garden waste collected next year please drop us a message or email and we will get it sorted.

Anyone that doesn’t currently get there garden waste collected and is interested in a fortnightly collection and supporting a local business please don’t hesitate to get in contact as we have the capacity to accommodate more customers.

Postal packs will go out between Christmas and New Year.

Hello folks

Just a quick message to make everyone aware that the workshop will be closed after today until Mon Jan 5th at 8.30am

Some of you who have been in contact with the workshop will be aware that Barry has pretty much been “holding the fort” over the last couple of months. I had been struggling with a numb left leg and gradually decreasing use of my left arm. I had been getting treated for a trapped nerve in my lower back, but a young Doctor who I visited in early November, decided I needed a new MRI on my neck and head. A tumour was found in my head. It has now been successfully removed, biopsy has shown it as Grade 1 benign so all good there and the surgeons were happy they got it all removed. Currently in recovery and I will be back on Mon 5th.

I’ll take this opportunity to remind you to consider getting your services etc. booked as soon as you know your plans for next season. Last time I looked Mar/Apr were all but full and Feb had limited space. It seems more of you are collecting and booking next year at that point !

Good Afternoon and Happy Sunday everyone.
Sorry, slightly long post this one 🥴
It’s that time of year again when I like to remind y’all to get those Caravans and Motorhomes winter drained down. I chose this image as I don’t think I know anyone who would have an awning up in these conditions but there you go !!😳🥶There’s a potential cold snap in the forecast so don’t get caught out and find leaks on your Festive break or next Spring !

On a personal note, I need to go in to hospital for an op in the next few days, just waiting with my bag packed for the call. It means Barry and the guys helping out might be a bit busy to catch all the calls and email replies may be a bit slow
