Our Story

The Old Yard is a husband and wife team, both keen enthusiasts for Vintage, Industrial and Mid-Century furniture, lighting and home wares. Originally dealers in what is considered to be “traditional” antiques for more than 15 years, we became bored with the “same old, same old” and looked around for something to refresh and renew the passion we had for all things second-hand. And so it started, we spent our time searching out and scouring car boot sales, auctions, junk yards and the rest, for items that had been discarded because they were out of fashion or no longer served their purpose. Many of our items have had a previous life, and we really enjoy the challenge of giving them another chance by recycling and re-crafting them into useful pieces once more. We hope you will enjoy our items too. Our client list includes Jamie's Italians and Deli's, Selfridges, Carnival Films, The Old Vic Theatre, The BBC, Fat Face, Le Labo Frangrances and many more.

In 2015 we were visited by Drew Pritchard and took part in an episode of Salvage Hunters, which was great fun.
