This was our last club night until September and we welcomed Marian Magee for the demonstration. Marian created a wonderful display of seasonal flowers with bright vibrant colours and textures. She shared with us the importance of principles and elements of design and how she cleverly transformed some everyday items to construct containers to showcase her beautiful floral arrangements.
As the summer break approaches many of our members will join Omagh Gardening Society on their annual June outing to Home and Garden Show Ireland in Antrim.
We wish everyone a lovely summer holiday and look forward to seeing you all again in September with renewed enthusiasm..

Heather Hume was our guest demonstrator at our April club meeting. Her unique title, 'Fiorismo,' held us all in great anticipation as to how she was going to convey this visualisation into her designs. Heather didn't disappoint and showcased her wonderful creative talent and took us on a whirlwind floral world tour with destinations to include Mexico, Australia, Africa,Japan and finally back home to The Glens of Antrim and Glenariff.
All raffle winners were delighted to take home one of these wonderful pieces and the evening concluded with refreshments.
Next meeting is scheduled for 21st May.

"Mad as a March Hare" was the theme for our Annual Open Demonstration with Karen Frew all the way from Ballymena.

Karen's artistic flare shone throughout her demonstration showcasing her carefully handcrafted rustic constructions using natural reusable materials to create wonderful colour and harmony.

Spring flowers featured prominently tulips, daffodils hellebores etc and some beautiful orchids to capture the season and her recurring theme throughout the demonstration was the incorporation of Hares as symbolic and decorative elements.

A huge thank you to everyone for attending and we were delighted to welcome lots of new visitors along with members from other clubs .

Everyone was eager to get tickets and the evening concluded with the raffle and light refreshments served by our committee.

A donation will be made to a chosen charity in the coming months..

Last evening we held something a little different for our members. Our 'Fun Night' began with a Floral Quiz . There was active participation combined with
friendly competition and floral trivia amongst all the teams.
Congratulations to the winning table.!
Next up was our 'Can't Arrange, Won't Arrange,'challenge. Four members Josie, Yvonne and the two Anns were randomly selected to join instructor Bernie as she talked them through the steps. They bravely tackled the challenge and showed us they were more than capable of producing wonderful designs..
