Oban Veg XChange

Oban Veg XChange Exchange your excess beans for my excess carrots = more variety on our plates and less wastage! Well I'm looking out into the garden .. can it be done?

and the beds, not so long ago that were empty, now are filling with green leaf and tall stems. Broad beans mainly of various types. I got to thinking .... I'm likely to end up with an awful lot of these even after freezing! Then I thought wouldn't it be nice if I new of someone who had 'specialised' in some other veg, and was in the same situation .... wouldn't it be sensible if we exchanged our e

xcess in some amicable way ... and wouldn't it be even better if there was a number of such exchanges .... Id end up with my freezer full of beans and a variety of other veg as well ............ is it practical? Can we set up a system of exchange that facilitates such a process? So that's what this page is about ... to gauge interest, discuss options, formulate process ... and hopefully by the time harvesting begins an active Group ?
