Bulwell Forest Garden

Bulwell Forest Garden A community food growing and wildlife project with regular activities and workshops for everyone. All welcome.

Bulwell Forest Garden is a community project, founded and managed by a team of volunteers since 2012. We grow fruit and veg together which is then shared with our volunteers and the wider community. Anyone can come and help out, Mondays Wednesdays Fridays and Saturdays. We run a weekly Lunch Club each Friday, using harvested produce to cook a veggie meal that is then eaten together. We also provid

e educational workshops, environmental play sessions, and community health and wellbeing events for people of all ages, increasing peoples access to healthy food and exercise. Facilities include community growing beds and orchards, outdoor kitchen, wildflower meadows, wildlife pond, woodlands, sensory and medicinal gardens.

LUNCH CLUB:
Falafels with green salad, potato salad tahini and pickled radish, followed by strawberry and vanilla cake.
Come at 10.30am to help or 12pm to share a meal with us.
No strict need to book, but if you're able to let us know you're coming, it helps our anxiety levels no end!!

No Rainbow Stripes this week as it's the holidays, but you're still very welcome to come and enjoy the green space

VOLUNTEERING:
Lots of watering, planting out our crops in outdoor beds and preparing our polytunnel beds for our tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers... starting 1pm

(Photos courtesy of the talented Deanna Gallacher, photography student and local resident, sadly missing Rezi our Lunch Club coordinator, who was on holiday)
