We challenge anyone to find a better-made piece of furniture, we still make our furniture with techniques and quality you would have found more than 30 years ago if not longer. We use beech wood, it is a very strong hardwood with very few imperfections or knots in it, this will give you a very strong frame that will last for many years to come
We are one of the few companies in Long Eaton that makes our own frames, for our sofas from scratch. We believe we make the best frames in the country, we use English beach that is screwed glued and dowelled, then put a coil spring unit into the frame and you have the recipe for Success.
All frames are made by our skilled craftsmen who put love and attention in every frame they make. We make each frame to each customer's individual requirements that are height depth length and of course the looks.

The frames are then passed on to our team of dedicated Upholsterers who will then make your furniture especially for you. You can even see your furniture being made, as we have nothing to hide all our parts are first class.

Multiyork was founded in 1978 and unfortunately went into administration 22nd of November 2017. Multiyork was a very good company one of the best on the High Street, it’s furniture was very well made with hardwood frames and coil springs units. Many people are still using furniture that was bought over 30 years ago and will last another 30 years.
Unfortunately, nowadays there are very few companies that still work to this high standard of making furniture that will just last for years and years.
The good news is here at The Designer Sofa we still work to the same high standards if not higher, and we can still make new furniture that looks and lasts and feels as good as the Multiyork furniture ever did. We can also reupholster your multiyork furniture and make it like new if not better. We do not make loose covers for multiyork but we do go one step better and reupholster your sofa or chair with fixed covers that look and feel and lasts a lot longer.

We have just made a footstool for a customer called Colin and again he was very pleased with the work we have made for him, he has been haveing furniture from us for many years now.

Italian Carved Sofa & Chairs

This pair Kamron corn units were specifically made to fit the client's room. The bodywork is in a white leather and the seat and back cushions are in Harlequin Momentum Ascent fabric.
We also took the Client's existing wooden tables and turned them into table footstool.

Corner unit update 3
We have now completed the upholstery and deep buttoning work on the unit, It had 200 buttons all hand made and then deep buttoned into the corner unit. The buttoning alone took over a week to do. we have also made a Middleton chair to go with this order.
We are now waiting for the seat cushions to be made as they have been especially made to fit this unit.
The Next time you see this work it will be in the customer's home.

Corner unit update 2
We have started upholstering the massive bespoke corner unit, the arms and backs are deep buttoned. The arm is the first part to be deep buttoned, this alone will take a few hours, when you consider the average sofa in the high street will be made in 40 minutes. The next process will be to button the inside back.
