If you are about to brief a 3D office plan, do not just ask for a walkthrough. Ask for the argument.
Send your supplier this list. If they cannot answer these questions, they are decorating, not planning.
1. What would you cut if we had 20% less floor space?
2. Where does a private call actually go?
3. What happens to this layout on a Friday?
4. Which meeting rooms will be empty, and why are we still building them?
5. Where do the noisy team and the quiet team sit relative to each other?
6. What did you change after you walked it in 3D, not just after you rendered it?
A 3D model that does not change a decision is a trailer for a film you have already finished.
Take this list. Send it to whoever is drawing your floor.
