Grapes Hill Community Garden, Norwich A small garden near Norwich city centre, used by the local community to grow vegetables, fruit, ornamentals and herbs. Open to all every day from 9am.

Closes 8pm (May - Aug), 6pm (March, April, Sept, Oct), 4.30pm / dusk (Nov - Feb). The garden is tucked away behind the St Benedict’s View business units at the bottom of Grapes Hill. Not far from the Reindeer Pub, 10, Dereham Road. It is open everyday from 9am until dusk and anyone can enjoy this community space free of charge. It is a mainly edible garden with trees, fruits, flowers, herbs and ev

en some beautiful community art. It hosts affordable courses and workshops, in the garden, often with free or subsidised places. The Grapes Hill Community Garden Group runs several events during the year including live music, nature themed events, hawk and owl displays, theatre, poetry, concerts, community picnics etc. Volunteers and members maintain the garden on Wednesdays and Sundays (times to be confirmed). You can rent raised beds to grow your own vegtables on an annual basis from as little as Β£5 a year. Membership is optional – it just helps raise funds to keep the garden going for the whole community! Membership from as little as Β£3 a year. Gardening, Music and Tai Chi this week!

Tomorrow 5-6:30pm is our acoustic jam - bring a song or two and your voice, instruments or ears! In the garden if warm and dry, otherwise Temple Bar.

Our volunteer gardening session is on Wednesday 2-4pm - no need to know anything or bring anything! Come and long and enjoy connecting with nature and your local community.

Majeed will be teaching Tai Chi on Saturday 2:30-3:30pm. No need to book - just come along to this meditative practise.

Welcome to Bliss in Nature Summer Yoga!

Join us on Thursday 11th June 11am-3pm for a rejuvenating Summer yoga session surrounded by the beauty of nature at Grapes Hill Community Garden. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with your inner zen in this serene outdoor setting.

Experienced instructor, Sue Tideswell, will guide you through a series of poses designed to help you find peace and balance. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, all levels are welcome to join in the fun!

Awaken your body, breathe and feel part of the blossoming seasonal loveliness around you.

In the morning from 11-1 pm there will be slow yoga including gentle flow, breath work and release of tension through held posture .

We will break for a 'bring your own lunch' at 1pm , and from 1.30 -3pm there will be more somatic, embodied yoga with held postures and restful guided yoga nidra meditation.

Come and experience the bliss of practicing yoga in nature. Don't miss out on this opportunity to recharge your mind, body, and soul.

We had a lovely day at our Nature in the Garden event yesterday. Do share and tag us in any photos - we'd love to see them!

This week we have our weekly volunteer garden session on Wednesday afternoon 2-4. No need for experience or tools - just bring yourself and enjoy an afternoon pottering outside in your community garden

Saturday afternoon 2:30-3:30pm sees Majeed teaching Tai Chi. This moving meditation practise is particularly special outside. No need to book.

NATURE In The GARDEN EVENT! Tomorrow (11-3pm)

So the moth traps have already been set up this evening by Norfolk Butterfly Conservation Group, ready to reveal tomorrow, some of the many moths that are using our garden. πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸ¦‹

There will be a rare opportunity to hear the wonderful folk duo, Adam Clarke & Nic Zuppardi performing Lutestring: a collection of Moth pieces at 2pm accompanied by a songbook with moth LinoPrint illustrations by Nic. Jaki & Pete return to treat us with yet more musical nature themed pieces, as does the brilliant Joe Durant with his unique guitar pieces.

We have some fabulous stalls for you to enjoy including Tish from Marlpit Community Garden with her bee hive display and bees wax candle making activity, 🐝🌷🐝🌼🐝🌸🐝🌷🐝The Master Composters & Norfolk Organic Group (NOG)with lots of useful advice & seeds. There’s beautiful glass creations by Lindy Osborne & Frankies Fayre vintage jewellery, Ari with handcrafted wings, a whittling demo and nature based games & a chance to make a wee air dry clay creature to take away with you πŸžπŸΈπŸŒπŸ¦”πŸ“πŸπŸ¦‰πŸ₯🐞

As usual we have some mouth watering refreshments for you including the wonderful Substrata Organic Wines, Top quality Coffees etc from Tom the Coffee Pedlar and a new exciting guest to the garden Boho Vegan foodie treats, which I can’t wait to try
