4 glazed softwood doors had suffered quite a lot of deterioration underneath the glass panels.
Rather than replacing all 4 doors at great expense, my returning customer got in touch after seeing some previous door repairs of mine.
It was just a case of removing the rot and replacing with an oak bottom on all doors, all ready for the customer to paint themselves.

An original mahogany parquet floor had been hiding under a carpet for far too long, however the carpet had protected it and it was in superb condition.
Sanded back and finished with a clear satin varnish.

What started off as replacing a few rotten timbers on a 50 year old carport, kind of developed into a 90% rebuild and paint.
Once we discovered some dry rot and how much it had spread, most of it had to go, the original clear roofing had become so brittle, it was breaking like a dry cracker.
The customer decided to bite the bullet and go the whole hog, new timbers where needed, new roofing and new guttering.
Ready for another 50 years.

I had some rot to repair on these bespoke glazed doors and windows.
The windows and doors have been made from softwood, which isn’t ideal.
I replaced the areas of rot with oak, that should give it a bit more of a fighting chance for a considerable few more years.
A quick freshen up with a coat of brilliant white and are all ready for the summer.

I’ve just received photos of the 2nd vanity unit top, that has been installed.
Quite a difference, and my customer has now asked for some bespoke oak shelving to match.

I had a couple of vanity unit tops brought in to the workshop a couple of weeks ago.
They both had a lot of water damage, which was mostly only surface damage.
A full strip, stain and 3 coats of varnish and they were as good as new.
One has just been reinstalled and the customer kindly sent me a couple of photos.
It’s always nice to see the finished article in place.

I got to use my brand new Bona floor sander on this absolute gem of an oak floor.
I know you shouldn’t have favourites, but i absolutely love the finished result on this Herringbone, the floor has just that right amount of age that is impossible to replicate.
Finished with an Osmo clear satin oil.
It was the perfect choice to suit the character of a wonderful period property.
Happy customers and a happy floor sander.
