This historic Tyneside shipyard is being restored to its former glory and brought back to life as a brand new riverside neighbourhood. Centred around three dock basins, which will form the heart of a lively community, you’ll find contemporary family homes, thoughtfully designed public spaces and plenty of places to eat, drink and play. What’s more, the long term transformation of Smith’s Dock will

open up new connections along the river between Fish Quay and Royal Quays and from the town centre down to the waterfront. There isn’t long to wait, work is well underway on our first 34 new homes known as ‘The Plateau’, that sees hoUSe; our two & three storey contemporary family homes find a new home at Smith’s Dock. We’re bringing hoUSe Smith’s Dock home to the people of North Shields - Launching Saturday 6th May 2017.

This much photographed building on the fish quay will soon be opening its doors as the Molten Gallery and Cafe - selling a truly unique range of delicious artisan gelato with some of the best coastal views in North Tyneside.
