One of my favourite pieces from the bits I’ve picked up over the last few weeks — it’s a G-Plan Danish Range coffee table by Ib Kofod-Larsen. The balance of form and function in this design is so considered: softly tapered legs, solid teak construction, and that perfectly integrated slatted shelf below… it’s a belter. No two ways about it.

Anyway, I’ve paired it with a beautiful vase by the very talented hanoto studio. The texture and tone sitting beautifully against the warmth of the wood — the perfect combination..

Took an early morning wander around The Holy Island of Lindisfarne last week. What a place.

It’s a tidal island, only accessible at certain times of the day via a causeway - so once you’re over, there’s a real sense of separation from the mainland. Which is especially perfect when the kids haven’t come with you.

Anyway, if you’re ever over on east coast it’s well worth checking out. Crosses, ruins, castles and the sea, it’s the perfect salvation Glasgow day trip.

I appreciate it’s been a little while since I’ve posted any new stock… but that’s about to change as I’ve got some lovely pieces being listed over the next few weeks — and this set of six Globus chairs by Jesús Gasca for Stua is one of them.

I’ll be putting the full set on the website soon, but just wanted to get a few shots of these beauties up just now — Designed in the 1990s and still in production today, they’ve become a bit of a modern classic. This particular set was made in Spain and dates from the early 2000s. Sturdy, stackable, and with that sculptural laminated ply seat and back made from cherrywood veneer — they really are beautifully made.

Were they ever to converse about vintage furniture, A ‘certified banger’ and ‘extra fire’ are the phrases my twelve year old son would probably use to describe the ‘drip’ of this mid century desk to his pals.

Some recent interior photography work for Chelsea Mclaine Interior Design - while the ol’ vintage furniture is my first love, commercial photography probably takes up the majority of my working week, with capturing beautiful interiors like these bringing particular enjoyment!

Sloooooooowly working my way through a large pile of furniture that requires restoring/cleaning and photographing.
Not really being assisted by having to spend the last fortnight keeping the 2 kids entertained through the misery of the Scottish spring weather😩
Although, in fairness, I did get to see Kung-fu panda 4. So…swings and roundabouts I guess.
Anyway, managed to get this handsome rotating bookcase (and a few others) finished yesterday.. now up on the website - www.salvationglasgow.com
