A LITTLE REGAL.

Here we have another finished and delivered piece of furniture.

This wardrobe was in decent condition when it came to us. A previous customer wanted something to tie in with a dressing table we had completed a few weeks earlier.

We started this piece by applying 2 coats of primer to prevent staining. We then applied 2 coats of Laura Ashley Paint, using contrasting colours to really bring the wardrobe to life.

Finished with our ever favourite Laura Ashley Satin Matt Varnish, this wardrobe would be fit for any Royal setting.

OUR LITTLE WELSH RAREBIT 😜

Here is a completed, beautiful 1930's Welsh dresser.

This was originally stained very dark and didn't show off the true beauty of the dresser. (See final pic for before shot) we stripped the whole thing right back and removed all the iron works.

We then applied 4 coats of primer to seal the piece and prevent any of the old stain coming through.

Finally we resprayed the iron works and painted the main body of the dresser In Laura Ashley Pale French Grey and painted the doors and draw fronts Laura Ashley Cotton White.

To protect the piece for years to come we applied two coats of Laura Ashley Satin Matt Varnish.

Quite easily our best piece of furniture to date 😃

LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP

Here we have a beautiful corona pine television cabinet. Renovating these is definitely a love hate relationship. Corona pine is a very soft wood so is great for painting etc, but not so great for wood work.

Nevertheless we repaired the unit to a high standard and painted it using winter grey and for contrast Laura Ashley cotton white. For protection we finished the piece using Laura Ashley satin Matt varnish, and added some black diamond effect handles.

A LABOUR OF LOVE

We have just finished this amazing occasional table/dressing table. As you can see from the pictures it had been battered and bruised and was destined for the fire bucket. However our customer's vision and our gritty determination has transformed this into a fantastic useable piece of furniture!

Sanded back, repaired, primed and painted with Laura Ashley pale Amethyst and finished using our favourite Laura Ashley satin varnish.

JUST A TOUCH OF COUNTRY

This table came to us in a very well used and worn state.

We began by repairing a couple of the chairs and one of the brackets on the table. We then sanded the chairs and table to reveal some stunning pine.

After this we then primed the chairs and the table frame in plain white and finished them in ultra bright chalk white.

We added a contemporary twist by painting the seat of the chairs in one of our favourite winter grey colours and complimented this by finishing the table top with the same colour, leaving some of the beautiful wood exposed.

This will be finished in either Matt varnish or wax.

It's a truly magnificent piece of furniture now and would take pride of place in any dining setting.

A LITTLE BIT OF COUNTRY CHARM

This was a table and chairs we acquired a few weeks ago. It was what we will call well used and very tired. We decided to embrace the fact it had a lot of debts and scrapes and went with a rustic theme.

We sanded the timber as far back as we could to reveal some truly stunning wood, we then primed the chairs and table frame to seal in as Many stains as was possible.

After the preparation we painted the chairs and table frame in chalk white, distressing the chairs slightly to go with our rustic country theme, we then added a contemporary twist by painting the seats winter grey complementing this with a winter grey Finish on the table top.

This will be finished in either Matt varnish or wax, which is still to be decided.

The chairs are nearly finished, we have distressed them lightly to achieve the rustic finish we are going for. Just 2 coats of Laura Ashley Satin Matt varnish to protect them for years to come left to apply. These chairs were tired and had seen better days, now they will take pride of place in any dining area! Can't wait to put the picture of the complete finished product up on Wednesday 😃
