There can't be anyone reading this that hasn't had a disappointing experience of the Scotch egg. You've probably picked one up from the chiller cabinet in a convenience store, supermarket or from a petrol station forecourt. More than likely it was covered in breadcrumbs that tasted more like sawdust and had the death rattle of the egg moving around inside it's disappointing sausage meat of some de

scription. It's become the butt of many jokes from Big Keith in the office biting into one after a partially tedious and slightly creepy speech to Alan Partridges digestive struggles! But biting into a fresh scotch egg is a wonderful thing, it is a totally different experience to the long life version that have become the punch line of so many jokes.

The Green Man is waking 🌿

One of our favourite magical days of the year in Bovey Tracey a proper celebration of spring, tradition, and all things wild and wonderful. Expect the sound of bells and sticks, swirling ribbons, and Morris dancers filling the streets with energy that feels older than the hills themselves.

This isn’t your average market… it’s ancient madness a touch of the mystical.

We’ll be there serving up our Scotch Eggs — the kind that just hit different when you’re stood in the sunshine, watching the dancers and soaking it all in. Trust us, they go down an absolute treat at this one.

Today we finally launched our first seasonal Scotch Egg of the year…

Our wild garlic and seasoned pork

We couldn’t quite get Devon wild garlic yet – it’s still a little early but the Cornish woodlands are already bursting with it..

Wrapped in seasoned pork and finished with that with Teign Valley bakery’s delicious bread crumb.

Available now while the wild garlic lasts.

Every tray matters.

From the moment our Scotch Eggs are cooked to the second they leave our kitchen, they’re packed by hand onto recyclable trays and checked.

Some head out with our trusted distribution partners ..
and quite often, I’m delivering them myself across the South of England.
