UPDATE - Transmitter is back on!

If you re-tuned your TV when it was off you may have to retune it again to pick up channels again.

I never remember it being off for so long before!

UPDATE - Transmitter is back on!
If you re-tuned your TV when it was off you may have to retune it again to pick up channels again.

The fault page still shows Kilkeel as having an issue but hopefully this is wrong.

Kilkeel Transmitter has been off since yesterday morning, unsure when it will be back on - this will mean no signal for Freeview (BBC, UTV Ch4 etc). I.e. Channels being received via an aerial.

Satellite signals and RTE should be unaffected.

Update, still off as of 10:30am Monday 27th - very rarely would it be off so long.

Kilkeel (Aughrim Hill) transmitter still seems to be down so if you have no BBC/ITV etc it should come back on when the transmitter is working again... If your aerial is still intact that is!

For those who are still having trouble with their O2 signal, you may be able to turn on 'WiFi Calling' on your phone.

WiFi calling allows you to make normal calls and send/receive text messages via a WiFi network rather than having to be within range of a working mobile mast.

Go into settings within your phone and search for WiFi calling - finding it is not the same on every phone so if you can't find it easily a web search for WiFi calling for your type of phone should help.

For those that lost UTV,Ch4 etc they should be back now.

If you re-tuned your TV while the problem was ongoing you will likely have to re-tune it again to find the missing channels.

UPDATE : Transmitter now working again.

Aughrim Hill transmitter is down at the moment - RTE, Sky and Freesat should be uneffected. Routine maintenance apparently so should expect it to be back on this evening...

UPDATE: Now working again... If your channels are still missing you may need to re-tune (you should only need to do this IF you re-tuned during the outage)

Aughrim Hill transmitter seems to be down at the moment, so Freeview in 'most' of Mourne area from Rostrevor southward will not be working - RTE soarview or satellite shouldn't be affected. It normally isn't too long before they have it up and running again.

Happy to have sponsored Ballyvea's kits for the Junior Shield final last night at short notice after an apparent kit clash.

Two Junior Shield finals in last few years and in semi-final for last two years running isn't bad going considering just under 200 teams enter the competition.

There was great support down there with 2 busses full and others travelling by car.

All the best to Robert Stevenson today as he welcomes customers to his new Gym.

Delighted to have had a small part to play in providing Networking and Audio Visual Equipment and Cabling especially as it meant getting the old team together once again.

Archos Arnova 9 G2 Android Tablet - Free to good home.

Haven't used it for ages so rather than sell it I was hoping it would do someone for Christmas. It's certainly not the latest iPad or anything but works fine and would maybe do a younger member of the family or where a new tablet has proven beyond reach.

Several games installed with others available for download. All the latest games etc won't necessarily work but for playing simple games or browsing the web its fine. Comes with leather cover which doubles as a stand.
