After nearly three years of back and forth with Cadw, planning and heritage officers we can finally move forward with our K6 telephone box project.
Because of how it is listed we aren't permitted to 'restore it' instead we need to keep the quirks it has developed over time.

That said, we will be totally repainting the box inside and out with coded telephone box paint, replacing the perspex panes with glass, refitting the internal woodwork and installing a defibrillator which will be available to the community. This will mean a new light and new internal wiring.
The floor will be re-laid and a new oak noticeboard will be installed adjacent to the telephone box for all Council and church notices.

Long time, no post... There's a lot to show you but for now here's a Victorian skylight that needed some attention and a replacement panel or reeded glass. The client was happy to have a piece that wasn't exactly the same as the original as he liked the idea of repairs and restoration being a visible story.

Hey, hey, it's been a while... it isn't that i haven't been busy, believe me, it's always all go... I've been working on our house for the past couple of years and we had to strip it right back. I've hundreds of photos and before/ after shots but I couldn't keep up with social media and all of life as I'm not organised enough.

Anyway, here is a shot of my little 'creation' a bulb hanging from a tonka firetruck. I visited a trendy tattoo parlour in London that used tonkas as lamps and since then I'd always fancied one. As luck would have it whilst picking up some turntables from a dealer he also had this firetruck for sale and I snatched it right up!

Very little work involved but I do love how it looks up there!

It's been a while... after the fish house debacle earlier this year I decided to stop taking on outside jobs. Thay said, we bought a house which needed a lot of work so I've been invested in making it nice so I've at least somewhere comfortable to be as my health deteriorates. Here is a bookcase I made recently for Stacey's room.

Hi everyone,

I'm afraid I will no longer be taking on DIY or handyman jobs. For those who don't know I have HSP a degenerative neurological disease that has progressed meaning I have very little strength and a lot of joint pain. I have enjoyed many jobs and projects for people and whilst I'll be carrying on at a hobby level I won't be taking on anymore jobs. Thanks to everyone who gave me custom in the past it really helped me pay the bills! I'll continue to show off anything I make on this page. Thanks again all!

I've been working on the biggest job I've ever done on behalf of a client known as The Tuna King.

This is a before and after of the church doors leading into a generous summerhouse. They hadn't been treated or worked on for decades.
I'm proud of how they came out.
