A few pictures of a recent overhaul completed over a 6 month period commissioned in December 2020 for one of our regular customers.
This was the first machine of 3 machines to undergo a major overhaul with a complete strip down from the chassis up and with everything being replaced such as bearings, pulleys, ropes, motion shafts, seals, hoses, hydraulic valves along with a complete engine refurb and torque converter new load monitoring system shot blast and paint and even a complete rewire of the machine electrics with the addition of a 360 degree monitoring system.
A new pneumatic control system was designed and installed to the machine by Demap giving full function control by electric over air with the driver controls being sourced from a company in Germany.
Due to the age of the machine it was certainly challenging to source all of the components parts and with delivery times being extended due to COVID was certainly a challenge but the end result was worth all the effort.
We have recently had a new bespoke workshop built along with onsite shot blast and paint shops to cover all aspects of crane repairs and refurbishments.

Supply and install of a bespoke 3200KG wire rope hoist system, our customer wanted the new unit installed to an existing runway beam with a working height of lift of 22 metres.
Using a hired in scissor lift, lifting beam and chain blocks the install was commissioned within 2 days meeting our customers required time scales.

Track repairs to a Jones 851 crawler.
A recent condition report from our customers insurance inspector required removal of damage track plates and adjustments.
New track adjusters had to be manufactured to allow us to remove the damaged track plates in both tracks and adjust to suit, both our customer and insurance inspector was pleased with the repair.

A recent install of a Rayco Wylie load monitoring system completed for one of our customers based in Worcestershire.
It’s always a little difficult when dealing with lifting equipment mounted to vessels as stability varies from boat to boat and in most cases the crane duty charts require de rating accordingly as per this install.

One of our customers found themselves up against it when there annual insurance examination found major repairs required to there two 32t overhead cranes.
Both cranes required new pulley and bearing assemblies with only a couple of weeks given to complete all repairs, with no stock availability from the crane manufacturer the decision was made to remove and patterned one of the original pulleys for manufacture, two sets were machined and dispatched weighing in at over 400kg enabling both cranes repairs to be completed inside the time scales given from the insurance company with no production downtime and several thousand pounds saved on the repair.

A recent Grove GMK 3050/1 boom strip and telescope cylinder repair completed for one of our customers, all internal components cleaned and thoroughly examined before rebuild, another successful cylinder repair complete by Anderson Hydraulics.

Another boom rebuild completed for a local company to there Terex AC35L due to wear pad failure and a leaking telescope cylinder, new extension ropes were installed due to damage and the telescope cylinder sent to Anderson hydraulics for reseal.
A complete operational test and thorough examination of the machine was carried out before the machine was put back to work.
