The Bakhtiari tribe inhabit the Zagros mountain range and the designs reflect nature with the large field motifs and border depicting various plants.

Deep and bold natural colours combined with traditional Qashqai motifs to the centre of the medallions. This rug has a soft wool pile on wool foundation.

An antique Persian Yalameh rug (Fars region), wool on wool.

Yalamehs are a Qashqai nomadic subgroup and this rug was produced circa 1930. Featuring 2 yellow and blue ground medallions bordered by a double hook and star motif it has a soft medium wool pile.

Even wear to the pile and some to the edges as per the photographs.
