Before - during - after

Back to painting furniture as I feel a million times better than I have been since getting covid in January.

This old tired chest needed a new lease of life, something bright and sunshiney, so it was painted with Annie Sloan - English Yellow.

Tulip feet were added, the top was sanded back and waxed with Annie Sloan - Dark Wax so was the new k***s.

Now it looks a completely different chest!

Dimensions -

H - 28"
W - 23.5"
D - 15"

The drawers are 3.5" deep.

New project!

A pair of lovely Art Deco bedsides painted black with a hard wearing top coat. I kept the handles in their natural colour and just applied a couple of coats of french polish.

Not for sale though as we decided to keep these for ourselves.

These 3 vintage style coat pegs are mounted on 25 mm thick wood and waxed with 2 coats of Fiddes Jacobean wax. Wall fixings not supplied.

Rustic/Farmhouse Style Bench Made From A Vintage Door.

This bench has been handcrafted from a heavy duty thick (34 mm) vintage door.

Perfect for the entryway in your house or even in the garden.

All the sharp corners have ben rounded off and 2 coats of dark wax have been applied. There are 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the sides to protect your floor.

Dimensions:

L - 120 cm (47")
H - 85 cm (33 1/2")
D - 37. 5 cm (14 3/4")
D of seat - 33 cm (13")

🚨 Repurposing old doors II 🚨

I will be making up some of these for your hallway etc.
There will be 2 sizes - Medium and large (this is a medium).

Paints used: White and Annie Sloan - Chicago Grey with a couple of coats of clear wax.

Plenty of styles/colours to choose from should you be interested - just drop me a message.

I will be listing these on Etsy in the near future.

Managed to get hold of some lovely old wood with original paint so I will be making some coat hangers with shaker style beech pegs.

These will be very limited as I haven't got much of this wood unfortunately.

Was thinking of a 2 peg and a 3 peg size. I could do larger so please feel free to message me about a custom size.

Reclaimed old door to new bench.

Here is the finished project.

All the sharp edges have been rounded off and the bench has been sanded throughout with fine sandpaper. Rubber feet have been added to protect your carpet/wooden floor. This is a heavy duty bench as the wood is 35 mm thick.

This bench would be great for a hallway, you can put your shoes underneath or maybe in your garden.

I can dark wax it or you can have a clear varnish applied to keep the natural finish.

Dimensions:

L - 47" (119.5 cm)
H - 33" (84 cm).
D - 15" (38 cm)

Would anyone like to guess what I will be attempting to make out of this old interior door?
