Setting up for my inaugural exhibition at Dalkeith Palace.

What a way to start 2025.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Taylor Bain Custom Furniture has been accepted as a member of the Scottish Furniture Makers Association.

I’ve always strived to design and create high quality work, and to be now recognised by my peers at the Association, fills me with huge pride and joy.

This marks an important milestone in my journey, and I look forward to getting involved with the Association, meeting and exchanging ideas with other makers, and exhibiting my work.

Well, that’s a wrap folks!

A big thank you to Rob and Matt at for producing my brass makers coins.

After a long, long, search and many failed attempts to finding the right quality and resorting to making my own, I am absolutely delighted that Matt and Rob have now taken on the challenge
and are creating these amazing, high quality, solid brass makers coins.

I am so looking forward to installing these in my future projects. It’s the little things in life that
matter.

Study desk

Sepele and Tulipwood desk with padded burgundy leather lined dovetail drawers. Finished in
Rubio Monocoat oil and hand painted in Farrow & Ball Hauge Blue.

Commissioned by a returning client, the brief was to create a modern desk that complemented
the décor of the livingroom, look like a table, have discreet handless slim drawers for storing
notebook, laptop, etc., be able to sit 4 people if required, be easily disassembled and not to
dominate the room.

As a finishing touch, and a surprise, the drawers were lined with padded burgundy leather as a
thank you for the Client’s longstanding support and custom.
