Leslie has been busy lately with some commission pieces, however he has found time to make and upholster this beautiful stool measuring 90cm x 90cm. The material used is Glen Lyon Tweed from the local mill in Aberfeldy. It looks superb, with contrasting buttons

Looking forward to attending our next craft fair, in Wareham Dorset. Organised by the Dorset Art and Crafts association, the Fair is 3rd August to 7th August at Purbeck School. We will be selling Upholstered Stools, Memory Boxes, Cushions etc

One of the key skills in reupholstering old chairs is restoring the chair frame. The chair frame has typically withstood weight, movement etc for the past 50 years at least, and the condition is only revealed when all the layers are peeled back. Have now used this skill in recycling a sideboard. Before it was a dark red wood finish, now it is a beautiful natural wood finish. See the before and after pictures!!🙂
