An island isn’t always the answer 👀

Our clients loved the idea of an island, but once we looked properly at the space, we knew it would compromise the flow of the kitchen.
So instead, we designed a peninsula.

It gives them the look, extra worktop space and social feel they wanted, while leaving far more room to move comfortably around the kitchen.

Sometimes good kitchen design isn’t about squeezing in everything on the wish list - it’s about finding a solution that works even better for the space.

The rich walnut finish echoes the existing timber ceiling beams, with the warm lighting bringing out those deeper tones, while Metallic Taupe glass cabinetry adds depth with its subtle reflective finish.

A look back at this kitchen we completed in Shipley.

As part of a major remodelling project, the space was completely rethought to create a kitchen that feels both impressive and incredibly practical.

The amazing ceiling height gave us the opportunity to introduce floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, creating a huge amount of storage while making the most of the room’s proportions.

A timeless shaker kitchen with a beautifully refined feel in Bramley 🤍

Soft Pebble Grey cabinetry keeps the room calm and timeless, while the Havana Brown island adds a lovely bit of warmth and depth to the space.

The details really bring it all together - antique brass handles, Calacatta Oro worktops, open shelving and a bronze mirror splashback that catches the light beautifully.

And of course, the island is the heart of it all functioning as both a practical workspace and a social focal point.
