Came together well!
Loved lending a little hand to Brookvale farm set up a few displays for their farm shop.
We made rugged benches from heavy timber sleepers, some heavy sanding took them from a bland saw cut finish to show a little more character (with fewer splinters!) The endgrain in particular is beautifully enhanced with just a single sanding process. An all around chamfer on top and bottom literally takes the edge off making them much softer. Propped up on 2" thick steel legs with a lovely cross brace, making a simple, rock solid design and yet well suited to the shop aesthetic.

The old reels came up well also, with the weathered steel rim celebrated. The round form provides a natural flow to the room.

Just 'bobbin' around upcycling this in to a 'reely' neat display table for a farm shop!

Torquing up the tension rods, sanding down years of weathering and sprucing up with fresh varnish; will make this repurposed reel a perfect centre piece for the shop. The original steel wrap around when polished up will offset the timber well too 👌. Finished results to follow!

We designed (CAD) and laser cut this sign to customer brief.

Rusted finish very on trend 🙂

A clever little 4 bar mechanism means the sign moves with the hatch and stays upright. Sign is on full display when set to serve coffee and when closed down for transport! 👌

We installed on site, out of hours, meaning no disruption to service! 👍

Finally got a chance to make the engineering pilgrimage to the underside of a land rover defender:

This old girl had completely fatigued through an exhaust coupling, meaning exhaust gases were billowing straight out just after the catalytic converter, making a bit of a racket!

A battery flood light made winter evening work much easier. We created a new coupling from a tubing off cut, splicing, widening and rewelding it up to increase to the right diameter. This meant we created a good seal over the outside of the existing pipework. The original pipe clamps were in good enough order and make a rock solid connection with the new heavy walled coupling.

Now she's back to work after just a couple of hours downtime 👍

BBQ conversion:
A customer with a BBQ which was badly corroded due to coastal climate approached us. He wanted to get more from the remaining housing rather than scrap it:

We designed in a 3D environment, a charcoal tray made from high grade stainless steel, to convert the old gas BBQ to a large charcoal burner. The individual parts were precision laser cut and folded, before manually TIG welded together.

Customer now is able to keep using his old BBQ now but with an authentic taste of charcoal fire 🔥

Another simple but tidy pull up bar for customer's garden rig:

6mm thick flanges with countersunk holes, screws provided and satin black finish 👌Solid!
Check out those TIG welded beads! 😍
