Have a look at this exquisite example of a diminishing balustrade! Working on diminishing stairs can be a bit of a tricky task, particularly when aiming for that flawless finish. Dealing with angles converging into a point and using two different profiles (like the handrail and baserail) always involves a bit of give and take. But after a chat with the client, we came up with a cracking solution.

I created a bespoke baserail that seamlessly meshes with the handrail, alongside a matching profile capping. To keep the visual effect spot on, I handcrafted stop chamfers on the last few spindles. There’s a load of meticulous detailing that went into this job, much of which might not catch the eye straight away, but it’s all about ensuring our customers are happy.

Expanded the kitchen with essential added space, neatly concealing the boiler with easy access to pipework. A unique situation where a standard door wouldn't fit the opening, so I had to trim it down in height and reattach a bottom rail. After filling and sanding, it looks as good as new.

The entire space has undergone a massive transformation with plastering, wall paneling throughout, and a prior replacement of the handrail. A new traditional black column radiator, expertly fitted by my friend .plumbing ,complements the upgraded look. Additionally, the entire downstairs floor boasts new flooring, skillfully installed by my friend Anthony Franks.

I completed a job shortly after Christmas due to the recent storm wreaking havoc on the existing fence. I replaced over 30 meters of fencing, boarded both sides, built and installed new gates. While it's not a task I frequently undertake, challenging and dirty conditions don't stop me.
