Last week, we officially launched our garden celebration, and what a blooming good start it was! 🌷🌞

With the sun shining, we took the chance to stroll around our estates, catching up with neighbours and chatting about their homes, community, and outdoor spaces.

Here’s a peek at just a few of the gorgeous gardens our tenants and community members shared with us - they’re now in the running for prizes in each category. We’ll be out and about all summer, so there’s still loads of time to join in! Whether you’ve got a blooming pot, a balcony jungle, or a windowsill oasis, we want to celebrate your space. No garden is too small.

Joyann’s spent years showing global brands — and now all of us — where bias creeps into our tech, our marketing, our data, and even our stock photos.

In this episode we get into AI behaving badly, why algorithms sometimes centre the white space (literally), and how to stay human while the machines… well, keep predicting things.
We also talk about upskilling, ethics, representation, and how we hold onto our human agency in a rapidly changing world.

Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their community and in their homes. Our Community Safety Team play an important part in this.

Working with a company called Resolve, we’re running a survey to find out what’s working well with our Community Safety services, and what we could improve on.

We're back in Treharris this Thursday with our Chip Pan exchange. If you haven't registered yet to trade in your old chip pan for a brand new air fryer, then now is the time!

Event Schedule:

* Treharris: 28th May, 11am – 1pm
* Twyn: 11th June, 11am – 1pm
* Gellideg: 25th June, 11am – 1pm

How It Works:

* Bring your old chip pan to the event and exchange it for a new air fryer.

* Open to MVH tenants only. Please bring proof of ID (such as a utility bill or bank statement showing your address).

* You must register in advance to take part - this is important. We will only have enough air fryers for those registered.

* Text: 07718248645 (include ‘Airfryer’, your name, and the first line of your address)

We're partnering up with Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association today! We've done a litter pick, and have two skips up at Hillcrest in Penydarren for the local community to use.
