The waste brought in to our fully licenced 'Waste Transfer Station' is recycled and recovered avoiding the need for landfill. Our recycling operation handles domestic, construction and industrial waste brought in through our 'STEP UP SKIP HIRE' business. The waste is sorted and separated here at 'STEP UP' through our
strict recycling and recovery process. Soil and stone waste is then crushed to produce recycled aggregates for reuse by the construction industry. Timber is shredded and used by industry or in fueling power stations. Green waste is shredded and composted to be used again for gardens and landscaping projects. Plastics and metals are separated for further specialist recycling. Any residual waste is then used for 'energy from waste' power generation. In this way, we are able to promise our customers zero waste to landfill and they can commit to stringent environmental goals for sustainable waste management in their waste management plans.
