Collaborating with cabinet makers and designers we craft unique decorative surfaces with precision craftsmanship, carefully selected precious materials. Creating uniquely bespoke products from enchanting keepsakes to impressive luxury interiors.

ABOUT YOU

As a member of our unique and small family business you will play an essential role in the daily operations and have the ability to make a significant impact.

DETAILS

6 month contract
40 hours a week
07:00 - 17:30 Monday - Thursday
Overtime is occasionally required on Fridays to meet customer demands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Reading and comprehending instructions and following established procedures
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Work in all areas of production from CAD programming and machine operating to assembling
- Maintain equipment, machinery and workspace to a good condition
- Keeping records
- Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks
- Check output to ensure highest quality control measures are met
- Communicate with the team to coordinate timely delivery of goods

REQUIREMENTS

- Preferred Technical Skills

AutoCAD . Laser Systems . Marquetry . WorkFlowMAX . Microsoft Office
Prior experience in these areas is not essential as full training will be provided.

- Essential Experience and Qualifications

Woodworking experience, professionally or otherwise.
Must be able to demonstrate great manual dexterity.
Formal qualifications are not required for this role.

This year marked 36 years of ACE Marquetry. This November marked 7 years since we took the business on under unexpected circumstances. Instead of sadness for all the time that has passed, we feel full of appreciation for how far we’ve come and overwhelmed with the love and support we’ve received from all of our customers, suppliers, team and mentors. With our extraordinary parents in mind and spirit over the years, we are filled with pride that ACE is still producing the same quality marquetry and craftmanship.

It is with immense gratitude that today we announce the sale of ACE Marquetry. It is time for us to leave the nest of our family business and look forward, towards new horizons.

We are very excited to share with you all, that from this day forward ACE will be under the new ownership and management of the Lund family.
Joshua Lund to anyone that doesn’t yet know him, has worked for ACE for 11 years. Originally trained by Alan & Claire Englefield, there is not one person that knows more about marquetry than this man. It has become his lifelong passion and he is full of enthusiasm for the future. It has been a true honour to work with him; his knowledge, can do attitude and attention to detail has been pivotal in getting us to where we are today. ACE Marquetry will continue to operate under his impeccable standards, consistency and quality, the way it always has. We hope you will all support him as he embarks on this adventure with any hurdles that newly owning a business may bring, just as you all did for Bethan 7 years ago.
This is a very bright and prosperous future for the business and we are excited to see him make it his own success and legacy.

Bethan will be available until the end of January should you need to discuss any specific projects, but for the most part you will be met by Josh and his lovely partner Emily going forward.

This morning I started up the lasers for a different purpose, to help St Joseph's School, Salisbury make face shields for our amazing NHS.
Our furloughed employees, owners and even past employees have all volunteered their time to do shifts and get as many cut as we can.
It’s great to be able to help in some small way & I have never been more proud of our A-team than right now.
