Our pantry has had a late-summer styling update and, naturally, we thought you’d like to see it 🌼

We’ve updated the space with our Brown Daisy Spray Stems, their earthy tones providing the perfect contrast to the yellows and bringing a little softness and movement to the room. The subtle blue trim on our Melbury Storage Jars adds another layer of colour, offering a beautifully soft contrast against the rich golden palette.

Colour drenched in three wonderfully warm shades of yellow, this room is one of our most dramatic – and a lovely example of just how transformative paint can be. Smaller spaces, such as a pantry, are the perfect place to be a little braver with colour; there’s less commitment, yet plenty of opportunity to create something full of character.

Here, we’ve layered three shades from the same golden palette: Polenta on the walls, Saffron on the shelves and Mustard on the cabinetry. The result is rich, warm and wonderfully enveloping, with each shade bringing its own depth to the space.

And perhaps that’s the beauty of a pantry – a room designed for practicality, but one that doesn’t have to compromise on personality. If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to experiment with colour, consider this your sign. Sometimes, the smallest rooms are the perfect place to make the biggest statement ✨

A successful kitchen project begins long before your first design appointment.

Taking a little time to prepare beforehand helps your consultation feel more focused and productive, allowing us to create a space that's thoughtfully tailored to the way you live.

Swipe through for six things to consider before your visit ✏️

1. Consider what's important to you

Before your first appointment, take a moment to think about what matters most to you in a new kitchen. Perhaps it’s sustainably sourced materials and exceptional craftsmanship, or the reassurance of having a designer who takes the time to understand you, your home and your family. And if this isn’t your forever home, you may decide that a simpler update is all that’s needed for now, or perhaps your kitchen needs updating as soon as possible and timescale is a priority.

2. Understand any pre-work required

Is there structural work to consider? Perhaps plastering or new flooring? Understanding what needs to happen before your kitchen installation begins will help us establish a more accurate timeframe and ensure everything is considered from the outset.

3. Think about what works in your kitchen already and what doesn't

Think about the elements of your current kitchen that work particularly well for you, as well as anything that feels impractical or could be improved. These insights can be invaluable during your initial design meeting.

4. Explore what collections you're drawn to

Visit our showroom and take the time to explore our different kitchen collections. Seeing the styles, finishes and details in person can help you begin to define the direction you’d like your design to take. Details to start thinking about might include worktop profiles, cabinetry style, paint colours and hardware. Nothing needs to be decided at this stage; simply having a sense of what you’re naturally drawn to can be incredibly helpful. Our friendly team will be happy to walk you through each collection - in fact, talking interiors and hearing about our customers’ renovation projects is one of our favourite parts of what we do!

5. Be clear on your budget for the project

A clear budget provides the framework for your desi

Colour has a remarkable way of shaping how a room feels. Rich, confident tones create depth and drama, while gentle neutrals bring a quiet sense of calm. Then there's the timeless appeal of natural oak, where the beauty lies in the grain itself.

There is no right answer when it comes to a Neptune kitchen - only the palette that feels most like home and true to you ✨

So, tell us... would you choose a bold colour, keep it neutral or opt for natural oak? Or perhaps a combination?

For those curious, the kitchen collection and paint colours featured are noted in the caption beneath each image.

A favourite in our Market Harborough showroom, the Callington & Lamorna hand-painted plates are the kind of pieces that quietly elevate a home. Layered across a beautifully set table, propped on open shelving or arranged on a wall, they bring colour, texture and an unmistakable sense of craftsmanship to any space ✨

Hand-painted in Portugal by skilled artisans, each plate takes its cue from the intricate tiled facades of Lisbon, reimagined through Neptune's distinctive seasonal palette of Nettle, Blakeney Blue and Saffron. No two are exactly alike, lending the collection an artisanal quality that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Designed to be collected, mixed and lived with, they're as suited to long, leisurely lunches as they are to becoming part of your everyday interiors story.
