Manea School of Gardening

Manea School of Gardening A dedicated school of horticulture offering a range of courses in a
Accredited centre for Royal Hort RHS LEVEL 1: Run for schools by special arrangement.

We are a dedicated school for horticulture, based on the site of an old

commercial nursery in the quiet Fenland village of Manea. Since we opened our doors to students in September 2010, we

have worked hard on developing our site of around 2 acres.....
..we have already established a large pond, woodland area, bee meadow and an apiary, as well as the horticultural production facilities of glas

shouses, tunnels, cold-frames, raised growing beds for soft fruit and vegetables, and a small orchard...but there is always something else in the pipeline! The RHS practical students have been responsible for the planning and

construction of raised beds so they may practice skills and techniques

required to gain their qualification. A Winter Garden, Alpine beds and a

large Rose & Iris bed are among their many projects – as are an assortment of bird, bat & hedgehog boxes and various hibernacula which all increase the beneficial fauna we so depend on to keep our plants and crops healthy. Our purpose-built classroom is situated on the edge of the pond and offers a tranquil environment for the teaching of theory courses. We provide a fun, yet informative, learning atmosphere for small groups of up to 12 participants per course. We are accredited by the Royal Horticultural Society and so are able to offer their internationally recognised courses and qualifications. These include practical and theoretical courses at various levels which provide excellent development and learning opportunities, whether you are a professional in the horticultural industry, are seeking employment or advancement in horticulture, or simply wish to become a more expert gardener. If interested, please contact us. RHS LEVEL 2:
