The realisation that a house is never truly finished and this is my life now 😂

The snug 🤎

One of my favourite views in the house 🤎 and a few before photos to remind myself how much progress we’ve made!

It’s all under control…in my head 🙈

First milestone of 2026 🙌 With strict instructions on how much of the garage conversion could be a utility area vs. home gym, I had to try and make the best use of this small space and my wish-list included:

✅ My longed for doggy bath
✅ Access to the boiler
✅ Home for the washing machine
✅ Extra storage
❌ Clothes hanging solution

4/5 isn’t bad and I still might add a wall mounted airer. Finally no more messy paws up the stairs I can take Jessie straight here after her muddy walks, she’s not too impressed though! 😂

I’m sure all the mid reno millennials can relate 🤣

Having fun on ChatGPT already dreaming of when we finally tackle “Phase 2” of the reno (Phase 1 is still very much unfinished 🙈) A girl can dream! 🤣

Fireplace Before & After 🔥
Our house had two unused external chimney stacks we wanted to bring back to life, and the plan for the front room was to make it a cosy feature by adding a chimney breast 😍

Sadly I couldn’t find the bargain secondhand wooden surround of my dreams that was also the right size to adhere to building regs with a log burner. So we ended up splashing out on this cast iron surround which I absolutely love, probably the most unnecessary expense so far but I have zero regrets 🤣

Still lots to do in this space…the furniture is all wrong and temporary, the chamber tiles need installing, plus lots of finishing touches…but Rome wasn’t built in a day right?! 🤷‍♀️🙈

I wish I could believe it 🤣 There’s always something else to add to the never ending list 🙈
