Contacting hospital wards when a family or friend is in hospital ☎️
We're aware at times, due to prioritising patient care, we're unable to answer phones and communicate with relatives as often or as timely we'd like to.
If you can't get through when you call, you can contact the Patient Contact Helpline on 03033 306666 or [email protected] between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Non-clinical staff on the other end will take messages and deliver them to the patient, help you to locate them after admission or ward move, or ask the ward to respond to you directly.
This team is not able to share clinical information. We ask that only one person (usually the next of kin) calls us for updates so our staff can spend more time caring for your loved one.
