A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior upholsterer / pattern maker to join one of the UK's leading manufacturers of bespoke upholstered furniture products for a permanent position. Based in East London/Essex, the company founded in 1985 and has achieved substantial growth over the last decade and forecast to continue. We are looking for a dynamic individual who not only has the ability to complete exceptional products but also has experience in using new technology to improve operational standards.
The Job:
Produce prototype customer samples.
Good problem-solving mindset to help develop bespoke and new products
High volume of cutting for upholstery team.
Keep our production team motivated and morale high.
Oversee stock levels and complete stock counts.
Oversee Work In progress and manage production schedule with the guidance of the MD.
Manage work area, keep clear, tidy, functional and efficient.
Key skills required:
Experience of traditional and Modern upholstery techniques.
Ability to produce a quality product with excellent attention to detail.
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
Able to manage a small team of upholstery and sewing staff.
Pattern making and quantity estimating.
Core hours 07:00-15:30 Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
