We’re proud to share a recent collaboration between Keechdesign and Central Japan Railway.

Our team was commissioned to create a promotional film showcasing the Shinkansen experience for inbound visitors to Japan. It’s a project that celebrates not only an iconic piece of engineering, but the wider cultural journey it represents.

We’re delighted that Central Japan Railway are so pleased with the result and have given permission for us to share the film across our channels.

As Keechdesign marks 20 years, this collaboration stands as a meaningful milestone - reflecting our long-standing connection with Japan and the relationships we’ve built over time.

Our sincere thanks to Central Japan Railway for their trust, and to our talented team for delivering such a thoughtful and beautifully executed piece of work.

January’s Book of the Month is a collection of essays by philosopher and pioneer of the ‘mingei’ (Japanese folk craft) movement, Yanagi Sōetsu.

'The Beauty of Everyday Things' opens with 'What Is Folk Craft?' and includes reflections on crafts such as 'egaratsu' ceramics from Saga Prefecture and 'bashōfu' textiles from Okinawa. The objects discussed are selected from the Japan Folk Crafts Museum collection and all played a key role in the emergence of the 'mingei' movement.

This year, we’re proud to celebrate 20 years of Keechdesign. As we head towards the end of a busy 2025, it’s been great to take a step back and reflect on how we’ve grown and adapted over the years, working on such a wide variety of projects with so many talented and inspiring people.
