2018 is the tercentenary of the British furniture maker, Thomas Chippendale. ‘Chippendale’ became a byword for fine quality furniture-making all over the world. A number of UK events are scheduled throughout 2018 including an exhibition at Nostell Priory in West Yorkshire. Prices are pieces can exceed hundreds of thousands of pounds because so few pieces come to market. This stunning games table was designed and made with a unique sense of place for a client's super yacht. Ash, elm, silver gilt brass, embossed calfskin and leather were used and tabs on the feet were cast so that the table could be fixed to the floor.
