A mattress claiming 30,000 springs has a secret.
Those springs replaced something. Usually horsehair. Wool. Cotton.
Mini springs, tiny coils pressed into flat sheets, are stacked inside a mattress core to inflate the headline number. They compress flat under real weight. They contribute almost nothing to support.
What they replaced, on the other hand, was regulating your temperature while you slept. Wicking moisture. Breathing.
High spring count, in most cases, is not a sign of quality. It's a sign that you should ask a harder question.
