Then the handcrafted Swedish loft designed by Per Mårtensson from Loftdesign.se is the ideal solution for creating that all important floor space to compliment today’s popular compact living. Our unique lofts provide that little bit more - more spa

ce to sleep; work; play and store. The Scandinavian Lofts have no legs and are mounted to the walls and ceiling only, using a unique system of support, completely freeing up the space below. Highly popular in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia we are proud to push the tradition of loft living in new sleek contemporary directions. Our loft beds are made from sustainable pine or oak and as you’d expect, our designs effortlessly combine functionality, simplicity with high quality craftsmanship.

“Up In Space” – is our pre-packed loft, available in single (90cm), large single (120cm) or double (140cm) sizes. For those who need a wall to wall solution, a bespoke service is available. Not forgetting, we work with a London based Social Enterprise to provide our installation and bed finishing service so you can choose your own colours, and finishes too. Good morning Loft Lovers!

About 5 years ago we started a journey of creating space saving solutions under a new venture called Scandinavian loft. With no previous experience in design and build, all we had was a hanging loft bed concept by Per, a friend from Sweden, that we soon found out did not work well in the U.K. We set up a page to get some feedback and got some decent traction.

3 years ago we moved into Mainyard Studios to focus and organize ourselves. It has been a hell of a journey many ups and downs. The support from the community has helped a lot.

This August we were featured as space saving experts in the Grand design magazine.

Today we got a pretty clear vision, a brilliant team of collaborators. We're taking our next steps towards an innovative range of compact living products and will start fundraise soon to move faster and improve our processes.

Lessons learnt: don't give up good things takes time, listen and learn from customers and collaborators even when it is painful=) lift your head up and make your own decisions, look after your health and don't forget to enjoy the journey. you can do it!!
