We are happy to reveal the latest addition to our Katharine Pooley Boutique - a range of throw rugs created in collaboration with Johnstons of Elgin as part of 'The British Isles Collection.'

This exclusive collaboration with the historic, family-owned Scottish mill celebrates the enduring language of craftsmanship through three throws crafted in either cashmere-wool or a 100% woollen blend. The distinctive knot border motif is at the heart of the design, an interpretation of the interlaced forms found across the UK from Celtic knotwork and maritime rope craft, to the rhythmic structures of woven textiles themselves.

"It symbolises continuity with crafts passed through generations, the endless intertwining pattern frames each piece with a harmonious sense of movement and permanence."

Spot the living room at my countryside home, the Coach House, on online publication, in their fantastic piece - 'New Romantic: The Interiors Trend Bringing Whimsy Back To Our Homes'

“Designer Katharine Pooley sees the new mood as “soft, opulent”, built from “gentle color palettes, delicate patterns, beautiful textures and, importantly, decorative trims and details... Patterned window treatments, pleated lampshades and beautifully skirted tables bring that feeling of romance and refinement without feeling overly formal."

Well what a year we have had so far! I can’t quite believe we’ve entered autumn - and it certainly feels like it here in England. The days are getting shorter and, almost suddenly, we’re looking ahead to Christmas.

So much has happened over the past few months with plenty to come. Pictured here is me in the entryway to our Mallorca project, which we’ll be revealing more of in the coming weeks, alongside more glimpses of our Holland Park Townhouse.

Feeling grateful for all that has been and excited for what’s still to come and I hope you are too.

It's not unusual for a London townhouse to be arranged vertically and so we often see kitchens and wellness spaces on the lower and ground floors, with upper levels dedicated to entertaining.

For the upstairs informal living room at our Holland Park project I selected a sofa that you can really sink in to and paired it with a bespoke rug for a calm canvas to build upon. I then commissioned this beautiful tapestry by Yuriko Murayama and used the palette to inspire the rest of the room.

A pendant with cast Murano glass by , as well as a nest of coffee tables from both punctuate and unite the space in harmonious discord with their gorgeous brass finishes.

I recently some advice around designing coastal interiors with House & Garden Magazine, featuring the interiors of Weatherstone House.

It is so easy to cross the line from whimsy to kitsch with such a fun theme, so make sure to concentrate on nailing the above elements to ensure your coastal haven is exactly that 🤍

Slovenia had been on my list for years, and this summer I finally went to see for myself. What an incredible country.

We were lucky enough to explore a few corners of this verdant corner of the world, moving from Michelin-starred tables to mountain forts and from glassy lake mornings to wartime ridgelines.

A dramatic lightwell and expansive glazed opening create a seamless indoor–outdoor atmosphere in the Drawing Room of our Mallorca project, while the use of locally sourced marés sandstone, long associated with the Balearic Islands, adds a sense of place.

The palette is intentionally calm and tactile thanks to bespoke handwoven rugs by .6.9, custom sofa cushions in and fabrics, and a curated selection of handcrafted furniture. Bespoke oak veneer joinery handcrafted by features five vertically panelled sliding doors that discreetly conceal storage, bringing both rhythm and refinement to the space.
