This Saturday is 10 years to the day since the first Sunrise Curry Club event. Where you there? Who has a t shirt?
I've been trying to organise a little event here for a while and things just took a twist..
I'm delighted to be trading at a brand new night market with all kinds of amazing traders. It's my first proper gig in Spain. I will be here for the next 4 Saturdays with my tandoori ovens, sourdough naans, tandoori skewers, gourmet chips, loaded popadums and much more. 6pm til late.
In some ways it feels like I have spent 10 years laying down building blocks for the future. I did a lot of other things too in this time, I've been so lucky to travel so much. I've lived many dreams and nightmares concurrently to be perfectly honest. Done so many different jobs I can barely count. I'm 37 and I have never had a job for longer than 9 months. (Quit after 6 and served 3 notice π
) Sunrise Curry Club is my hobby, passion, business and my way of life. Unlike when I started I feel very confident as a chef now, I'm always learning and I am looking forward to the next decade in food.
To celebrate in style and apologise to my UK people for absconding I will post up here 10 of my favourite recipes from the last 10 years in the coming weeks.
I still plan on being back in UK from time to time trading and doing pop ups.
