British Summertime ends this Sunday! ⏰ As we turn our clocks back an hour, it’s a great reminder to make some important adjustments in our work lives too. The switch back to GMT can impact both health and safety in the workplace, so here are some tips to keep in mind:
🌟 Be bright, be seen! When leaving work in the dark, consider wearing reflective clothing or an armband for safety. A pocket torch is also a smart idea to help light your way.
💡 Check car park lighting! After 6 months, some sensors may not work properly. If the lights don’t come on, be sure to let your maintenance team know!
😴 Sleep adjustment is key. Even though it’s just an hour difference, it can take time to adapt. Many people experience seasonal blues during winter months, so don’t hesitate to share how you’re feeling with your colleagues. Remember, taking shorter but more frequent breaks can help!
☀️ Lunchtime special! With more travel in the dark, make the most of daylight by stepping outside during lunch. You might not get a tan, but a breath of fresh air will give you a huge mental boost!
