It's forecast to be sunny this weekend - perfect time to get on your bike and enjoy the great outdoors! It can be difficult to feel close to nature sometimes in , but even in the city there are some really beautiful places which are perfect for cycling and where you can almost imagine you're in the countryside. One of our favourites is Parkland Walk between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace. Where's your favourite place to go cycling?

One year on since we first launched the Richmond collection, we are delighted to be adding another character to our (imaginary) forest! The Stag bike rack follows the same principle as all the other pieces in the collection - it is a strong, practical piece of furniture made to be used but it is also designed to be a beautiful addition to your home when it is not making itself useful and storing things.

(And if you already have one of our Stag (or Caribou or Deer) coat racks, the Stag bike rack promises to play nice with his younger brothers and cousins 😄)

Drum roll please... We are happy and proud to present the Stag bike rack - our newest design. We think it provides the perfect way to save space (your bike doesn't have to take up valuable space on the floor but can be wall-mounted) while also providing a beautiful, interesting piece of art for your home. Let us know what you think below!

Before I created the final product, I created many prototypes to improve the design. Finding a way to make it elegant but also strong was an interesting challenge and reminded me it's ok not to get things perfect the first time round. Sometimes it's through trying and not quite getting something right that we learn some of our most important lessons. But, enough philosophising, please enjoy this nice simple picture of part of a bike and part of a our lovely wooden stag instead 😄

Our Story

At Sugo Lab we’re on a mission to create practical art. We offer a range of beautiful objects for your home that are designed to be appreciated and admired while also being durable and serving a useful purpose.

I grew up in the Italian countryside, surrounded by nature. My father owned a furniture workshop, so furniture has always been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I learnt to whittle at age 10 and from the moment the penknife touched the wood, that was it – I was in love. I have been passionate about woodworkingand design ever since.

I set up Sugo Lab in 2013 to create beautiful, solid wood homewares and furniture. Leaving the countryside and moving to London in 2015 just strengthened my desire to create products that combine the best of nature and modern design, bringing together the geometric shapes I saw in the city with the natural materials I have loved since childhood.
