Current project: 8 hours varnish stripping, 10 hours sanding (so far…) this post Brexit paint st****er is totally crap!!! I’d have better off licking the varnish off 🤣🤣🤣

Finishing! After over a months hard graft I’m completing this antique oak chair restoration!!! Has been an absolute pleasure to give another dated piece a shiny new lease of life 🤩

Well, today was supposed to be pe***ng to secure the canes and tidying up the seat, however I didn’t have any pegs of the correct diameter! Typical… so part 3 is caning the back of the chair 🤩 a bit longer of a vid today so you can see the whole process. Tomorrow I actually will be pe***ng and FINISHING this never ending restoration project 🥵 what will I be doing next??? Welcome back to the never ending antique oak chair restoration! Here I’m weaving in the diagonal canes to create a square pattern, and in part 3 I’ll be pe***ng with wooden dowels to secure the caning and tidying up any loose ends underneath, then final stage will be caning the back! 🥵
