It’s that time again!!!
Back in the uk after another good season in NZL, hit the ground running with messages from returning customers and new ones again. Been back 3 weeks and been busy.

Just a reminder for everyone that is either taking sheep to market or abbattoir, you are required to belly clip lambs before to assist with food hygiene.

When I’m back I can also do this for you, don’t hesitate and remember that if need any advice on shearing, welfare or management give me a message.

New kid on the block!

Had the honour of Oscar a newbie coming out with me on Friday to some small flocks (5 ryelands, 50 texel x cheviot’s and 4 South Downs), he has some experience but wanted some more. Hadn’t done the big woolly ones before but keen and did great job. Very tidy and the speed will come with experiance, we all started somewhere!

Hope to have him come with us more to shows and some more flocks.

Still some availability for shearing this coming month for all breeds and flock sizes! If have any queries about June onwards give me a message and we try and fit you in.

Have additional shearers on hand ready for the bigger days and small set up for the small flocks.

Experiance with all breeds from the large woolly breeds like Valais Blacknoses, grey face dartmoors, ryelands and Lincolnshire longwools to native small breeds like soays, Jacob’s, shetlands, balwens and pedigree flocks like beltex, texels, blue face Leicester, badgerface ect.

NO ONE TURNED DOWN! That’s within distance!

kinda day today!

Enjoyed our small flock day travelling to area this weekend, visited 3 places which all had ryelands. 1 was our regular that we always enjoy seeing and 2 new customers which were also a pleasure to shear for! Seem to becoming a popular family breed for small flocks.
